Once you click on Show View Options, you will see a window wherein you can use the bar next to 'Icon Size'. (You may need to scroll down. To adjust the size of the files and folders icons on your MacBook Desktop you need to right-click on the Desktop and select the option Show View Options. To change these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Desktop & Dock in the sidebar. And then please make sure that the items you want to keep on your Desktop are selected. Although File Explorer will remember your last setting when you open this folder again, this is a folder-specific setting, so you'll have to adjust each folder you'd want different icon and text sizes for.
